12-year-old among three new Singapore Covid-19 cases

SINGAPORE: Singapore confirmed three more cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus on Thursday, bringing the tally of infections in the republic to 96.

The three cases comprise Singaporean citizens with no recent travel history to China or South Korea, Bernama reported.

One of the cases is a 12-year-old Raffles Institution student who is linked to case 94. The boy is currently warded in an isolation room at the KK Women and Children’s Hospital.

According to Singapore’s Ministry of Health, 66 patients have recovered from the coronavirus and were discharged.

Of 30 cases still in hospital, however, eight are in critical condition.

Singapore has identified five coronavirus clusters on the island: the Life Church and Missions Singapore; the Grace Assembly of God church; medical shop Yong Thai Hang; a private business meeting at the Grand Hyatt Singapore; and the Seletar construction site.
