#Showbiz: Actress Balkisyh penniless after divorce, moved to neighbour's house

KUALA LUMPUR: Mak Cun star Balkisyh Semundur Khan, 31, had to move into a neighbour’s house and was broke after her recent divorce.

The Lahad Datu-born actress who was discovered by ntv7 reality talent show Audition 13 years ago recently revealed that her ex-husband Mohd Aizad Mohd Rosli had also physically abused her.

As a result, she lodged 14 police reports against him throughout their 11 years of marriage.

“After our marriage ended last July, I had zero ringgit in my bank acount, as well as outstanding rent and four months’ unpaid car loan instalments.

“Worst of all, my ex-husband padlocked our house and this forced me to stay in our neighbour’s for four days,” she said in a recent news report.

Balkisyh who starred in the romantic comedy Cinta Fotokopi and Sharad Sharan’s Diva, admitted that she had to work extra hard to support her children Nur Qalesya, 9, and Muhamad Nor Qaisyh Khan, 4, as a single mother.

She is currently starring in the drama Cintaku Di Bumi Izmir alongside Hefny Sahad, Raysha Rizrose, Syafie Naswip and Nabila Razali on HyppSensasi (Unifi TV 116).

The drama, produced by Creative Skill Solutions, is screened at 9pm on Tuesdays.

Last July 16, Balkisyh was filmed on a video reacting aggressively towards Mohd Aizad.

The video which went viral, showed her allegedly attacking her ex-husband at a parking lot, and he claimed he had only wanted to see his children whom he had not met for a couple of months.
