#Showbiz: Siti to plan special tribute for Pak Ngah

KUALA LUMPUR: Still mourning the passing of Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Zain, Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin hopes that the legacy he has left behind will continue to be remembered.

She also did not rule out the possibility of a special tribute concert in honour of the renowned composer who was more fondly known as Pak Ngah.

“For the time being, I am in no position to say anything concrete since Pak Ngah has just passed on. But I will look into this and decide on the most suitable form to show our appreciation and recognition towards all the work he had done especially in promoting the Irama Malaysia genre,” said the 39-year-old artiste who was clearly still in shock over his death.

Siti said she was planning to engage Pak Ngah to compose for her some Irama Malaysia songs.

“It looks like it will never be materialised,” said Siti who had always regarded Pak Ngah like her own father.

Pak Ngah passed away at Rumah Sakit Provinsi Kepri Tanjung Pinang, Batam, Indonesia on Tuesday due to heart complications. He was laid to rest at Jalan Ampang Muslim Cemetery at 5.20 pm yesterday.
