#Showbiz: Veteran Brit singer Rod Stewart axes KL concert

KUALA LUMPUR: British pop and rock singer Rod Stewart has cancelled his concert that was supposed to take place at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil, here on March 4.

The 79-year-old Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? hitmaker had also axed several other dates, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines, for his Live In Concert, One Last Time Asian tour.

According to concert organiser, Live Nation Malaysia, the KL show was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances."

"Our ticketing partner, GoLive Asia, will be reaching out to you via email regarding the refunds within five business days," said the organiser about refunds in a recent statement.

The raspy-voiced singer who has sold over 120 million records worldwide has released 32 albums throughout his five-decade-plus career.

The Tears Of Hercules was his last studio release in 2021.
