LANGKAWI: A 75-year-old man, Saidin Chin was crushed to death by a tree he was cutting at Kampung Teluk, Jalan Ulu Melaka here this morning.
The Kedah Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Nur Hafizah Muhammad Lokman said the department received a distress call at 11.22am today.
“A team from the Langkawi fire station led by operation commander Zulkifli Ibrahim went to the location and found the man being pinned under the tree trunk,” she said.
Nurhafizah said checks by a medical team at the location confirmed that Saidin had died on the spot.
She said Saidin’s remains has been handed over to the police for further action.
