Man killed in lorry-bus collision near Rembau

REMBAU: A lorry driver was killed and three bus passengers were injured in an accident at KM17.3 of Jalan Seremban-Tampin here, today.

In the 2.05pm incident, the victim Chan Swee Hing, 55, who was driving the one-tonne lorry died on the spot due to serious head injury.

District police deputy superintendent Nazruel Ekram Abu Shari said, the crash occured when the lorry, heading to Tampin, lost control and skidded into the opposite lane before colliding with a bus coming from the opposite direction.

"The crash also caused injuries to three passengers in the bus.

"Chan's remains had been sent to Tampin Hospital for post-mortem while the injured victims were sent to Tuanku Ja'afar Hospital (TJH) in Seremban for treatment.

"The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987," he said.
