DUNGUN: A 26-year-old man died when his car collided with a trailer lorry near Bukit Besi last night.
The victim identified as Syed Roslim Syed Ali of Batu Tiga, Jalan Air Putih Kemaman suffered serious head and bodily injuries in the 8.10pm incident.
Roslim was travelling in his Proton Wira and heading towards Bukit Besi from Ajil.
The victim's car skidded into the opposite lane before ramming into a trailer lorry coming from the opposite direction.
The trailer driver escaped unhurt.
AMBS Fire and Rescue Department station chief Jas Wari Awang said they received a call about the incident and six officers were deployed to the scene.
He said they took 20 minutes to free the victim who was pinned to his seat.
"The victim's body was sent to the Dungun hospital for further action", he said.
